Stabyl – a browser that adjusts for tremors

Whilst doing some research on innovative accessibility I came across the wonderful app Staybl – an app that counters tremors caused by Parkinson’s. Such a simple idea but could be incredibly beneficial to so many people. It had never crossed my mind that people who suffer from hand tremors would have difficulty with this type of thing.

I started to think how whether there could be an app that tracks your tremors. And whether that would give useful data for doctors and researchers. And could we use AI to help regulate the counters? There seems to be such potential here.

Side note, I found this whilst looking at the brand spanking new Accessible Technology category on The Webby’s. I’m so glad this is now a category.
